...it's talkin to me!

You can always tell when I'm in my creative mode because I start talking to myself about how my paintings are talking to me. Okay, I admit that sounds a little crazy, BUT history shows that in general, the worlds most creative people are slightly off their rockers. At least that is what I tell myself...

I first picked up a paintbrush when my oldest daughter was 18 months old. I was a stay at home mom with a creative obsession, and watercolors seemed to be the most "child friendly" medium to explore. After moving to Georgia in 2001, I began to branch out into painting murals & floorcloths, and recently started painting with acrylics on canvas. Oh - I also had 2 more beautiful daughters and continue to stay at home and raise them in an artistic and wonderfully chaotic environment.

Web & Graphic design felt like a very natural progression for me from Fine Art. Like most artists, I frequently find myself proclaiming "I can do that!" after seeing something I think is pretty. I also tend to be a little bit of a control freak, and just couldn't swallow someone else doing my design work for me. Unlike most artists, I have a fairly equal left to right brain split, so the coding is something that I actually enjoy. I like to think of myself as 60% Artist, 40% Computer nerd, and I like me that way!
